Itinerary
- In the morning, we will drive to Palitana, the gateway to the Shatrunjaya hill and one of the holiest Jain pilgrimage sites.
- After reaching on the top, you will visit the Jain temple, which is dedicated to Shri Adishwara; the first Jain Tirhankara (apostle).
- Further, we will visit the Chaumukha or four faced temple.
- This temple has an image of Adinath facing out in the fore cardinal direction.
- After exploring Palitana, we will drive to Bhavnagar.
- It is located about 56 km from Palitana.
- On arrival at Bhavnagar, do check into the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.
- Today, we will start our day a little bit early and proceed to visit the Velavadar National with packed breakfast.
- After taking pleasure of our jungle safari to the Blackbuck sanctuary, we will return to the hotel for lunch.
- After lunch, we will proceed to explore the city of Bhavnagar and visit the Takhteshwar Temple located on a high platform and offering breathtaking views of Bhavnagar city.
- Lord Shiva is worshipped as the main deity of this shrine.
- Further, we will visit the Nilambag Palace, which is the residence of the current Maharaja of Bhavnagar.
- Also, we will visit the Mangalsinhji Mahal Palace, which is the residence of the members of the Bhavnagar royal family.
- Another interesting place to explore is the Gaurishankar Lake.
- It is a beautiful lake located between small hills and was made by Shree Gaurishankar Oza, the Deewan of Bhavnagar.
- Later, we will return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
- After breakfast, we will leave for Ahmedabad.
- On arrival at Ahmedabad, we will drop you at Ahmedabad Airport/ Railway station for further journey.
