It is to be noted that the journey from the train to Guwahati may take 1-3 days depending on which city are you coming from. 

By Road

Reach Guwahati through roadways that are well-connected with the National and State Highways with major neighboring cities such as Assam, West Bengal, and so on. Take a cab, bus, or other roadway transportation services from Guwahati and reach Shillong in almost 3 to 4 hours (100 kms approximately).
