- After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady

Thekkady is set in the green hills of spice plantations and is home to the Periyar Wildlife Reserve – a sanctuary for a multitude of wild elephants, bears, bison, deer, boar, and the great Indian Tiger. Thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating wildlife reserves, the Periyar Wild Wildlife Sanctuary is spread across 777 sq. KM. of which 360 Sq. KM is a thick ever-green forest. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1978 noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife, and scenic beauty.
